My hometown is Vilnius. I studied at the four-year Vilnius Art School. I graduated from Vilnius State University.
I have always been attracted and fascinated by the ability to create something beautiful with my hands. I draw inspiration from the Lithuanian worldview of old times, I try to understand the worldview of a person who lived in a powerful medieval state - the Grand Duchy of Lithuania. That is why I like black ceramics, which were very widespread during the Grand Duchy of Lithuania.
The archaic process of burning black ceramics, which lasts all day and night, in itself creates a very authentic, out-of-date state, where fire and earth connect.
In 2002 both my husband and I founded the Open Workshop of Black Ceramics - a gallery in Užupis, which for many years was the cultural and representative center of black ceramics in Vilnius.
In 2005 I have been granted the status of artist. In 2010 I have been awarded a national heritage master's certificate.
I have organized 3 personal exhibitions, participated in exhibitions in Lithuania and abroad. Since 2006 our Black Ceramics Centre's gallery "Molio laumė" is located on Naugaduko str. 20.
